| Lt Gen Dharam Vir Kalra, PVSM, AVSM, retired from the Indian Army on 31 Mar 93. The General Officer, during his long and meritorious service of thirty-nine years, held coveted appointment in the Army like Major General Operational Logistics in a Command, Commandant and Principal, College of Materials Management, rising to become the Director General Ordnance Services, the highest appointment tenable by an Ordnance Officer in the Army. An effective communicator acknowledged for his conceptual and analytical skills as well as
erudition. Comfortable in challenging and pioneering assignments in diverse range of fields. A successful builder of durable relationships. |

| The General Officer possesses an impressive academic record. He is M.Sc in Defense Studies from Madras University; where he topped the list, M.A. in Political Science and holds a Master's Degree in Materials Management including technical qualifications from the (UK); where again he secured top honors. A Graduate of the Defense Services Staff College, the General Officer also attended the Long Defense Management Course and the National Defense College Course with outstanding grades at all levels. |
